Communication policy

Cadets will surrender their electronics, including phones, upon reporting to drill. Command Staff may return the items periodically during drill as needed. Generally, Command Staff communicates with all parents through the GroupMe app. Parents should contact Command Staff as needed for emergencies via direct cell phone. Cell service at the drill locations may be limited.

Working Uniforms
  • 2 Blouses, NWU (Type 1 or 3) with appropriate flashes and name tapes.
  • 2 Trousers, NWU (Type 1 or 3) with appropriate flashes and name tapes
  • 1 Belt; black with silver tip and silver buckle
  • 1 Cover; 8 point that matches the NWU
  • 4 T-shirts; crew neck either Blue or Coyote Brown depending on NWU Type
  • 5 Pair of Black socks to wear with Boots
  • 2 Pair of blousing straps
  • 1 Pair of black Leather Combat-style boots
Physical training (PT) gear uniform
  • 5 Pair of White Crew Socks
  • 1 Pair of Athletic Shoes (good condition but not new)
  • 2 Official NSCC PT T-shirt (Yellow) can be purchased on Vanguard
  • 2 Official NSCC PT Shorts (Blue) can be purchased on Vanguard
dress uniform
  • 1 Dress white blouse (properly pressed)
  • 1 Dress white pants (properly pressed)
  • 1 Pair of black dress shoes, shined (NOT patent leather)
  • 1 Pair of black dress socks
  • 1 Neckerchief (properly rolled)
  • 1 Dixie cup (clean)
  • 1 Name tag and Ribbon rack
  • 1 White Belt with silver buckle/tip
  • 1 Pair of white underwear
  • 1 White Crew neck t-shirt
personal hygiene
  • 1 Pair shower shoes/flip-flops
  • 5 Pair of undergarments
  • 4 FEMALES – sport/athletic bras
  • 1 TOLIETRIES – soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving cream, razor, antifungal foot powder, hairbrush and/or comb, nail clippers, sunscreen, bug spray (non-aerosols)
  • 1 FEMALES – Grooming; bobby pins, hair bands, hair spray/gel (non-aerosols)
  • 1 FEMALES – Personal hygiene supplies as appropriately needed
  • 3 Large bath towels

  • 1 Pillow and white pillowcase
  • 2 White XL Twin sized flat sheets (not fitted)
  • 1 Blanket XL – Twin sized (black or navy blue)
